📖 My Business Story

In 2007, I began my journey working at my elder brother’s computer shop. For two years, I handled day-to-day operations, and by 2009, I had earned enough trust for my brother to hand over the shop entirely to me. I successfully managed it until 2013, when I decided to shut it down—because I wanted to explore new opportunities.

From 2013 to 2016, I stepped into the e-waste material business, starting with desktop DVD writers. I used to buy them from local scrap dealers in Seelampur and Mustafabad at ₹60 per piece, repair a few working ones, and sell them for ₹300–₹350. Out of 100 units, usually 20–25 worked, and the remaining were sold as scrap for ₹45–₹48. Even though I earned ₹4,000–₹5,000 profit in one cycle, I kept the scale small. Looking back, if I had operated on a larger scale, I could have earned lakhs or even crores—because at that time, very few people in India were doing this business, and demand was unlimited.

In 2015, I got my hands on laptop DVD writers at ₹120 per piece, which sold for ₹300 with huge demand. This time, I didn’t repeat my earlier mistake. With just ₹25,000 capital, I applied a fast turnover strategy—buy, check, sell, reinvest. That approach worked, and I earned good profits.

2017 was a turning point. I closed my first big deal as a mediator—helping sell 400 i5 laptops at ₹2,500 each. Although I didn’t earn a commission due to disputes, it gave me confidence to handle big-ticket deals. In October 2017, I took a bold step and traveled to Bengaluru. There, after some effort, I built the right connections and started sourcing laptops directly at fair prices. For the next three years, I sold bulk lots of laptops to Delhi dealers, completing multi-lakh and crore-value deals.

Then came Covid-19 in 2020, and sourcing laptops became difficult as prices skyrocketed. I quickly adapted and diversified into e-waste materials—buying scrap LED TVs in Noida, Cisco servers in bulk from Bengaluru, CRT monitors, Samsung LED scrap, and even 10 tons of laptop scrap. I carefully segregated metal, boards, and parts, selling each category profitably.

During lockdown, I also purchased Motorola mobile motherboards worth ₹75 lakh and resold them within just 7 days for ₹1 crore—my first crore-level deal. Later, I bought 1,300 laptops worth ₹95 lakh, but due to import markets reopening, prices crashed, and like many other dealers, I faced heavy losses. Still, I recovered, resumed operations in Bengaluru, and continued bulk sourcing from top companies.

In recent years, I expanded further—trading in Lenovo laptop parts (5th to 9th gen), BOAT earbuds scrap, Oppo/Vivo/Realme display folders, and more. I also purchased and sold 3,500 scrap laptops directly from an e-waste company.

Through this entire journey, one principle has always guided me:
👉 Respect for companies’ privacy. In the e-waste industry, confidentiality is everything. That’s why I never disclose the names of my partner companies.

Today, with over a decade of experience, I specialize in:

  • Laptop Scrap & Refurb Units

  • Mobile Accessories & Components

  • Servers, LED & IT Scrap

🔹 If you are an e-waste company or a scrap dealer looking to sell bulk lots at the right price, I am always open to collaboration and long-term partnerships
